Morning Walk Media Story
Morning Walk Media began in 1993 as a small dream: produce quarterly booklets of meditations and sell them to anyone interested in Tom Ehrich's writings.
Since then, the dream has grown. Journey Publishing Co. moved from book format to e-mail and began to develop a worldwide audience. It sponsored "Listening Church" workshops, in which congregations were encouraged to listen to constituents and the world around them. That is, to be "customer-driven," not "provider-driven."
In 2007, Journey launched the Church Wellness Project, a best practices guide to nurturing healthy congregations. Tom Ehrich began to lead training events around the country and overseas. and began a weekly column in "Presbyterian Outlook."
In 2007, Morning Walk Media was formed to bring both On a Journey and Church Wellness into a single enterprise. In 2009, the Multichannel Church joined this stable of ministries. Tom Ehrich expanded his consulting work.
The dream, as currently articulated, is threefold:
- to engage a growing audience of readers
- to help congregations become healthy, grow and prosper
- to serve the growing constituency that yearns for God but not just on Sunday morning.
Morning Walk Media is based in New York City.
